Recognising the contribution of TOPRA community volunteers

Posted on 13 March 2024

TOPRA’s volunteers play a vital role in enabling us to support our dynamic international community of members. Through contributions large and small, they help us by steering, supporting and shaping our wide range of activities.

One of the main areas that volunteers can contribute to TOPRA’s work is by getting involved with our International Network (INs) and Special Interest (SPINs) groups, which provide TOPRA members with opportunities to exchange news, views and ideas.

To help recognise our members’ efforts and demonstrate our appreciation for them, we have introduced a new scheme that will recognise those TOPRA members who go above-and-beyond for our communities.

The scheme will recognise volunteers' achievements using a points-based system to award status across three tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Volunteers will accumulate points over the course of a calendar year based on their participation in range of different types of IN/SPIN activities, which include being an active member of a committee, presenting or organising webinars or in-person meetings, or contributing to Regulatory Rapporteur, TOPRA’s member journal.

Those volunteers that contribute the most will achieve the prestigious status of Gold Volunteer (Communities). We hope that this will act as a thank-you to our valued volunteers and also encourage other TOPRA members to consider getting involved.
