Innovation Award winner 2023 (as part of the NHS COVID-19 App Regulatory Team)

The Digital Health Regulations and Standards Framework was implemented by the NHS COVID-19 App Regulatory Team as part of a collaborative effort to ensure the harmonised delivery of a global medical device in response to pandemics.

Q: How did you feel when you were nominated?
It felt amazing to be nominated and to have official recognition in the industry for all our hard work.  

Q: What did you enjoy about the awards ceremony?

It was a real privilege to be part of the award process, in such as beautiful venue, and sharing experiences amongst fellow nominees. 

Q: How did it feel when you won?
I couldn’t quite believe it. I was in shock for a moment, and then the delight kicked in and we were all beaming! We were thrilled to be recognised in this category, alongside all our App team colleagues from Psephos Biomedica, UKHSA, MHRA, Netcompany and Zühlke Group. 


Q: What would you say to encourage people to nominate their friends and colleagues for the awards? 
Just go for it. It was such a great experience, and opportunity to meet other leaders in the field. To have global recognition from TOPRA, and to know that we are helping to promote excellence in the healthcare regulatory profession, is second to none.


Q: How did you find TOPRA’s support during the awards process?
We felt fully supported throughout the process. The engagement was incredibly professional and responsive, and it was a very enjoyable journey.
